Motorized PTZ Cameras:

These cameras remotely move up-down, and sideways.  The camera may be programmed to continually sweep over a large area.  The camera can also be  controlled by the viewer to follow a moving subject, and zoom-in to a subject for detail. 

Video Recording:

Video Recorders will support 4, 9, 16, or more cameras. They can be set to record only when something moves in the field of view.  This saves a large segment of the recording time.  

Internet viewing: 

Recorders can be connected to the internet, allowing viewing, playback, and control from any computer with access to your local network.
